I bought my very first domain name (electricalsocket.com) in 1996 and I guess I haven't looked back since. Domain names are weird things. Sometimes you think of them merely as concrete, usable items (ie, I have a website I want to build with this URL). Sometimes they are purely "cover your butt" (ie, I own .com but what if someone were to buy the .net or .org?). And sometimes they are purely speculative, whether it's for a project YOU might have, or perhaps you think someone else will have it and want the domain. I've never really focused much on the latter, but meanwhile I have accumulated quite a few for the former. Can someone become domain name crazy?
