Concept Name: Will You Marry Me?
URL: www.on-bent-knee.com
This was a wonderful URL to suggest. Immediately we sensed that the submitter had a sense of what they wanted. "On Bent Knee" refers to the tradition of getting down on one knee when asking someone's hand in marriage. How could this be turned into a website? Well, we thought about it and realized that many people propose in public places in order to make a public statement of their love. Why not on the internet? Just as with skywriting, singing telegrams, and countless other methods before, a website devoted to marriage proposals would show the world how much two people care about each other. The site could feature pictures of both people submitted by the person proposing. Included would be a description of the proposal (where it took place, who was there, what the answer was). Expanded features of the site could include follow-ups showing pictures and stories from the weddings and anniversaries. Someone computer-savvy people might even want to pop the question on-line.
