Well, I'm happy you found a little friend. By the ! I can tell you're excited about it. Otherwise it would simple have been a . or maybe even ....

I am still sick, but entries about puppies always make me feel better.

Well, maybe not. I am not really a pet person. I didn't have many pets growing up, and those I did have were fish, a parakeet, sea snails.... I have a cat now, and being married, I actually have three.

Our cats are named Fred, Lenny & Sideshow Bob.

You'd think they are all male, but only two. Sideshow Bob (my cat) is a female. But when my roommates in college picked her up at the humane shelter, they sold her to them as a him. I didn't bother to check.

And Sideshow Bob might have been named Apu if only I had known how to pronounce/spell his last name.

People just call her Sideshow. Some call her Slideshow.

It's one of those things that if you stop and think about it.... it's really bizarre. Calling a cat Sideshow? Yet it drips off the tongue so easily.

What a weird world. Perhaps no one will notice if I name a child Velocity. Yes, she's my Velocity Girl I'm always telling people.
