i hate dawson's creek

I wouldn't say I hate Dawson's Creek. It's not like I have ever watched the tv show. I know many people do. I don't get that network. I only get the All-Fonz Network. Yes, the one they bill as "Happy Days, Every Day".

But I did see a commercial for Dawson's Creek one day. Yeah, right before the dramatic ending to another Happy Days episode I saw a commercial for it. Not that I got much about the show out of the commercial, but I can say I saw it (I did say I saw it, right?).

Did I tell you that they did a Dawson's Creek promotion with my Dep brand hair gel? Yup. You could win a necklace as worn by one of the girls on the show.

Well, as you may already know, I have no fashion sense, and I wear so many of those around my neck that it's almost like I am a 90s version of Mr. T (I pity the fool who doesn't watch the WB!).

But really, that's where my exposure to Dawson's Creek ends, unless you count the fact that a net.friend of mine, from British Columbia, Canada grew up in the town of Dawson's Creek. Mind you, it was the canadian version, the one where they say "Ay" all the time and eat ketchup chips.

I give her a little bit of grief over it, though I don't have much ammo to back up my jokes. Maybe someday someone will send me the VHS tapes of the entire sequence of shows, and I will sit down and watch them back to back without stopping. Perhaps then I will fully appreciate this institution of modern pop culture.

And then again, maybe not.
