| we like to party Dear Concerned Citizen of this Neighborhood, This is a quick note to let you know that this Friday night there will be a gathering of individuals on the 3rd floor of building 244. There will be an eclectic mix of cultures, personalities, languages, races and creeds. The native costumes of a half-dozen cultures will be on display along with a sampling of the culinary delights of several nations. Music will be an important part of our event. Music is the glue by which humanity is bound. Sometimes this music will be loud. Sometimes it will use language that might make you uncomfortable. But it's only through experiencing what the world has to offer that we can grow as a society. At times, it may seem like people are staggering along the street or hanging out of the windows. This is part of our revue of native dances. Many cultures find certain forms of physical expression very appealing and uplifting to the soul. If you happen to see one of these impromptu performances on your front door step, feel free to join in. In some cultures, removing all of your clothes is a great sign of respect. Welcoming them into your home and offering them a place to lie down will only bring the spirits of good fortune down upon you. If it appears that people are crawling around in the bushes, or if you hear the sound of rustling downstairs in your homes, don't be alarmed. This is only part of our scavenger hunt. We have compiled a list of treasures to be found around the neighborhood. We figured this was the best way to introduce these people to our wonderful little area. We hope to finish our festivities by the rising of the morning sun. This is in coordination with a series of rituals that some of our more spirtual guests will be performing. It's a distinct possibility that they will involve your pets in these ceremonies, but this is a sign of gratitude and respect to you as the caretaker of these animals. If at any time you have a question or concern, feel free to email me at partiesrock@aol.com and I hope to be able to bring more of these enriching experiences to our communities.
Thank You. |
