buckets for sale, buckets!

Oh my gosh!

Damn, you're a genius!

Do you know how long I've been searching for the perfect dot.com business idea to come along, and lo and behold, you've got it!

eBuckets.com would be sheer brilliance. But by this point, you have no doubt raced over to a whois search and discovered that someone else already stumbled across this jewel. Luckily it's only a greedy domain broker, but we must stop and do some due diligence and ponder what sort of brainstorm those people had which led them to snap up eBuckets.com.

It would appear that they had quite a brainstorm, as they also registered: ibucket.com, ebuckets.com, bucket.net, ebucket.net, ibucket.net, e-bucket.com, e-bucket.net, i-bucket.net, ibuckets.com, i-bucket.com, ebuckets.net, e-buckets.com, i-buckets.com, ,ibucketshop.com, i-bucketshop.com, ibuckets.net, e-buckets.net, ibucketshop.net, and i-bucketshop.net.

Now how does one organization/individual corner the market on such a lucrative industry as selling buckets online and have no one notice? What were all the industry analysts doing? Where's the Justice Department when you've got a blatant monoply for them.

So what's to come for the independent bucket salespeople? What will our towns & cities be like when there is no more local bucket store to supply our needs? Without the friendly assistance, how will we know whether we need a plastic or metal bucket? Do we need a slop or mop bucket? Is that a hole in the bucket?

Well, I've gone from sheer euphoria at the beginning of this piece to the depths of lowness at the end. Who would have thought that a brilliant idea would be foiled by something as simple as the lack of a concise URL?

I can only hope that all of you dreamers out there have snatched up your precious URLs. There's no worse place to be than to find yourself embarking on your dream only to find that www.adultdiapercleaners.com is already taken. (don't worry, it's not as of 12.17.2000)
